Kid’s Winter Fashion Trends: Tartan & Plaid

This Winter season the tartan & plaid trend is slowly infiltrating the kids fashion universe. The tartan was spotted on all the ready-to-wear shows and we’ve noticed this trend among quite a few childrenswear designers including Shampoodle, Mini Rodini, and several others.  We like the tartan because it’s timeless and often vibrant and easy to mix and match.

Often known as plaid, as in the plaid shirts we used to wear as teenagers, the typical tartan design originates from Scotland.  With its varying widths of stripes and colors, this design is appealing in all shapes and forms.
