NUNUNU

WIJ ZIJN FAN VAN NUNUNU!

Black & white is de kleur voor tieners en pubers. Safe, altijd mooi. En al helemaal met zo’n diagonale streep valt het kledingstuk voor die doelgroep snel in de smaak.

Wij zijn fan van Nununu. Dat hoor je inmiddels al jaren en dat zal je ook nog jaren horen. Stiekem dacht ik eigenlijk dat Thom na het afscheid van groep 8 vorig jaar nooit meer Nununu zou dragen, maar YES! Hij vond in de nieuwe Nununu back to school collectie een mega mooie sweater.

Deze part striped hoodie uit de shadows collectie met streep is ontzettend cool. De hals is iets verhoogd, de strepen lekker onvoorspelbaar én de basis kleuren zijn gewoon zwart en wit. What’s not to love voor pubers? Natuurlijk staat hij ook de kinderen in de kleinere maten te gek…

BOBO CHOSES AW18-19

YEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS….
Zit jij er net zo klaar voor als ik? Toegeven ik heb al meerdere beelden voorbij zien komen op Instagram van mensen die de nieuwe collectie al in een stenen winkel hebben gekocht, maar internet shopper als ik ben (sorry, stenen winkels), zit ik toch echt te wachten tot de nieuwe Bobo collectie eindelijk in de virtuele shops verkocht mag worden.

Goed nieuws ook voor iedereen die niet houdt van wachten op drop 2 of 3!! Bobo Choses heeft er deze keer voor gekozen om alles in één drop te gooien. Dus vandaag komt werkelijk alles van de nieuwe herfst-wintercollectie online.

De nieuwe collectie heet ‘The Happy Sads’ en wordt geïnspireerd door de turbulente emoties van kinderen, of zoals Katy Perry het zou zingen “you’re hot then you’re cold, you’re yes then you’re no, you’re in then you’re out, you’re up then you’re down ….” Precies dat idee had Bobo bij het ontwerpen van deze collectie. Verwacht dan ook veel tegenstellingen en toffe statement teksten! Verder is de collectie weer net zo divers als altijd en zien we weer veel van de ‘afgewassen’ kleuren die we van Spaanse merken gewend zijn.

Heerlijk stoer en lekker anders, daar zou ik het voor nu even mee af willen sluiten. Want geef toe; plaatjes kijken is toch altijd veel leuker dan een enorme lap tekst lezen toch?

BACK TO SCHOOL - OUTFIT

Ja, ik weet het; de vakantie is pas net begonnen (of misschien nog wel net niet), maar als ik de nieuwe collecties zie dan word ik toch wel weer heel enthousiast om nieuwe outfits te maken voor als het weer wat koeler wordt. Begrijp me niet verkeerd, want ik hou van het weer dat we nu hebben. Die verwachte hittegolf van volgende week: YES, PLEASE!

De zomer mag wat mij betreft nog in volle hevigheid los barsten, maar alvast wat back to school outfitjes scoren voor komende herfst? ja, ook dat heel graag!

Zou dit een outfit zijn die bij jullie in de kast zou kunnen komen?

TRANSITIONING

I don’t think there are any more lovely times of the year than right in between two seasons. The transitioning into something new. Four times per year, I get stricken by the most bitter sweet nostalgia, remembering seasons from some other time, some other year. No matter which season i’m moving into, I get filled with anticipation and the sense of moving forward, while looking backwards. Does that make sense at all ?

For me, it would be difficult to thrive living in a country without seasons. I feel like I need the change of weather, light, temperature, and colours to understand that time is moving forward – and so should I.

And now we are here again, in the middle of two seasons. Summer going on Autumn (in the shops). I’m delighted. Whenever the seasons change, I get in a new mood. Summer is all about crisp whites, cold food, feeling wild and free, swimming, and films about summer love. Autumn on the other hand makes me long for muted natural colours in soft greys and beige, hot ginger drinks, bean stews, an everyday routine, slow jazz, red wine, empty note books, productivity and coziness. more indoor activities. less craziness.

Taking care of the times of season transitioning is something that brings me great joy. It makes life feel more easy to grasp, and time more possible to understand. Creating an atmosphere around me that makes me look forward to the new season is important. It inspires me, gives me new ideas, motivates me to start new projects, makes it possible to move forward.

Perhaps I’m too changeable. Maybe I move too quickly, ever going for what feels new and exciting. Perhaps. But I rather be moving too often than being stuck in a rut. I’m like a shark you know. Swim or drown.
