COOL KID STYLE TIP
As a tutu is so feminine I love the idea of matching it with a simple stripe sweater and sneakers

The perfect party dress ... all you need is a crown to complete the look
MATERIALS Tulle of choice - I'm using a soft yellow tulle with velvet stars Lining - I'm using a soft yellow muslin Ribbon of choice - I'm using black and white grosgrain ribbon Sewing kit |
Work out the length you would like the skirt to be.
I'm making Olive's 25cm long to sit just above her knee.
I bought 2 meters of tulle and cut two 2m x 25cm strips.
I bought 1.5m of muslin and cut one piece 1.5m x 25cm.
Hand stitch thread along the top of the tulle and the muslin strips.
Measure your child's waist.
Pull the thread at one end to cause the fabric to gather. Gather until the fabric is at the measurement of your child's waist.
Pin the 3 pieces of gathered fabric together along with the ribbon leaving 30cm at each end of the ribbon to tie a bow.
Sew the 3 pieces of fabric and ribbon together.
That's it!
