MINI RODINI SS18 “THE EARTH IS OUR MOTHER, WE MUST TAKE CARE OF HER.”

Mini Rodini has always prided itself on supplying suistainable fashion for the little ones, but the Swedish brand has taken things a step further by using our very own planet as inspiration for its latest range. Dubbed Mother Earth, the Spring/Summer 2018 collection will feature a new woven Modal fabric and also introduce a Veggie print, which is maybe the chicest use of vegetables we’ve ever seen. As always, the entire range will also be made from sustainable materials.

Mini Rodini’s new range also brings back an old favourite in the form of its classic parka. For those summer vacations you’ll fine swimwear, which is made with materials including recycled fishnets and old carpets. In this collection you’ll also see T-shirts and sweatshirts adorned with the phrase “The Earth is our mother, and we must take care of her,” to promote sustainability.

The brand’s founder Cassandra Rhodin was influenced from a young age to look after the earth “I grew up close to the green movement’s worshiping of Mother Earth and drew inspiration from this time as well as wanting to manifest the very real sustainability work made by Mini Rodini today.”

Rhodin also views looking after the planet as our collective responsibility. “I don’t believe that we can do everything but everyone can do something and me and my team always try to our best to create a sustainable collection as possible. That is a key driving force for us and this collection is concrete proof of that,” she says.
