The magical universe of Bobo Choses is born out of original stories and poems. 

Eventually, the characters come to life in the form of prints, shapes, and products. 

With each collection, they also publish a book with the story that inspired it.

The book looks at the story of Benny Benson, the 13-year-old Chignik boy who entered a contest for designing the flag for the Territory of Alaska in 1927. He looked to the sky for inspiration, choosing the familiar constellation he looked for every night before going to sleep at the orphanage. Benny’s design was chosen over 700 other submissions to represent the future of the Alaska Territory to the present days.

Like Benny did once, Bobo Choses also looked up to the sky 

to discover that there’s a flag that links to all of us, 

the Universe.

BOBO CHOSES - SS17 A LEGEND

Each season BOBO CHOSES publishes a petit book telling the story behind the collection. BOBO CHOSES recently launched the BOBO CHOSES SS17, A LEGEND,petit book for their new collection.

This children’s illustrated collectable book is the source of inspiration and starting point for the Spring-Summer 2017 collection.

The book tells the stories of famous sportsmen, like Dick Fosbury, an American retired high jumper who is considered one of the most influential athletes in the history of track and field; Gino Bartali, a champion road cyclist who was recognised as a Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem for his efforts to aid Jews during World War II; Moses Tanui, a former Kenyan long-distance runner, who won the gold medal over 10.000 meters in Tokyo, he was the first athlete to run a half marathon in less than one hour; the Jamaican national bobsleigh team, who debut in the 1988 Winter Olympic Games in Calgary, where they were seen as underdogs as they represented a tropical nation in a winter sport, and many others who shined with a different and special light of their own.

The online launch of their collection is usually on January, so we only have to be patient a little bit longer. It seems that BOBO CHOSES will make us run faster and jump higher than ever this summer time.

NIEUWE ITEMS VAN DESIGN LETTERS

STUK VOOR STUK BLENDER MUSTHAVES

Het is alweer enige jaren geleden dat we de Design Letter mokken kochten. Voor elk van ons de letter van de voornaam. Porselein voor ons, melamine voor D. Nog steeds gebruiken we ze met veel plezier en is de set uitgebreid met onder andere borden & kommetjes.

De trend is nog niet aan zijn einde. Sterker nog..Design Letters komt met een uitbreiding van de kidscollectie. En we vinden het allemaal even leuk. De monochrome slabber met het alfabet erop, top! Mooie no-nonsense placemats. Een Baby’s First Book. En de drinkbeker (van A t/m Z) staat al op mijn wishlist! Maar hoe ingenieus is de drinktopper voor de bekende melaminebekers. We vinden het allemaal Blender Musthaves.
