Quinn and Fox bestaat nog niet eens zo heel lang en ..boy…wat een collectie weer. Dit koppel -met twee dochters- heeft weer een fantastische klus geklaard. Vanuit Californie wordt zomer 2015 stoer, urban en ruig. Als vandaag de release is van de zomercollectie, hebben we de beelden al mogen zien. En wat willen we ze graag aan jullie tonen. Want dit is geheel in onze stijl & in de stijl van onze lezers. De Blackbirds collectie dankt zijn naam aan de nieuwe prints.

Quinn and Fox werkt volgens een filosofie waarbij alles, 100% gemaakt wordt in de VS. Alles, van start tot finish. De collectie bevat weer goeie prints, statementshirts, een fake leren legging, te gekke shirts en singletjes voor de zomer. En hoodies. Love, Free Hugs, Hendrix, Create art not war. we houden van Statementprints met zulke teksten.De Messy Hair Don’t Care print is dit seizoen echter enkel rechtstreeks in de VS te verkrijgen.

Met een mooie mix tussen felle kleuren & non kleuren.  De musthave broekjes en leggings met overall prints van zwarte vogels of tijgers. De zwart/wit gestreepte broek. We kunnen weer zeggen: Quinn and Fox SS15 rocks!

Stella McCartney Kids summer 2015

Jump on the Stella McCartney Kids bandwagon with their playful summer 2015 collection. Light pieces of daytime denim, striped and cartoon motifs mingle with 3-D underwater-themed swimwear. Cool kids just get cooler!

Stella McCartney launched her first children’s collection in 2010 and has built a reputation for quirky prints, bright colours and fashionable designs for babies and young children up to 12 years old.

Q&A WITH STELLA

Why was it important for you to create a kids line?

I’ve wanted to do kids since I’ve had children and probably even a little before. I felt there was a gap in the market and thought that with kids wear it needs to be accessible and realistic on the price points, but still have a timelessness and quality.

How do you best describe a Stella McCartney Kid?

I think the Stella McCartney kids have their own sense of themselves. I think it’s important that they’re free and full of energy and life.

Where do you get your inspiration?

I am inspired by various different things. I look at my upbringing and memories as a child and incorporate that to some of the pieces. I also look at the work we are doing for the ready-to-wear collection and try to translate some elements into the kids range that would make sense. And of course most of all, I am inspired by kids themselves and try to sometimes get them involved in the process.

What do you believe is important when designing for kids?

For me, it’s important to have timeless, good quality pieces that will last forever and can be passed down to future generations.

What are key pieces kids should have in their wardrobe?

Pieces that you can layer well and that don’t bulk up, so that they can move freely, run, jump, roll around and essentially be kids. You also need pieces that allow them to have their own personality; pieces that they themselves are drawn to while still maintaining quality and avoiding being too overly designed and overworked.

To cool to fool

OUTFIT OF THE DAY | just for cool boys!

Een blazer is een item wat ik voor onze jongens altijd in de kast heb, niet omdat we nu dagelijks feesten en partijen hebben om gekleed naar toe te gaan. Nee, een blazer combineert super op een denim, met een paar stoere sneakers en een kek shirt maak je er een all-day-look van.

Om het wat feestelijker te maken gebruiken we een velours blazer en combineren we hem in deze outfit of the day, met een witte chino. Ja, dat mag in de winter! Voor de nodige kerst feeling dragen we er een t-shirt met gouden print bij. De stoere laarzen trekken we gewoon losjes over de broek heen zodat het een stoer effect geeft. TIP: De pijpen iets rommelig oprollen is dan ook erg leuk!
