The SS20 Stella McCartney Kids campaign ‘Tree Huggers’ stars strong-hearted kids 

as environmental activists, who care about the future of our planet. 

This ethos derives from the Spring Summer 2020 collection itself,

which is all about encouraging positive change. 

Inspired by a children’s poem, the young activists show us how and why we should take care of the forest and the life within it. 

They demonstrate how to enjoy the small things around us and speak up to others about protecting the amazing green world. 

They are our future and take the lead in communicating 

about protection and respect for our environment.

LOVING THE TREES POEM 

The trees and their leaves, 

Thank you for all that you do, 

You keep us safe and the birds and bugs and animals too 

We must keep our world green 

Because you keep our air clean. 

We must hug the trees and show them love 

We are friends of the amazing forest-The green world above 

We have to tell others what we know 

And to the trees kindness we show 

We must listen to the wild -I can make a difference even as a child 

Everyone gather round and shout about the woods 

They keep the sky blue! 

Nature is our Mother too 

Hug a tree and plant a flower 

We have the power

The SS20 Stella McCartney Kids collection aims to inspire positive change; 
encouraging everyone to use their voice, 
become an activist and take part in making a difference 
with print slogans such as ‘Love More’, ‘Green fingers’ and ‘Be Kind To Each Other’. 
The rainbow in all its beautiful variation is a recurring motif throughout the wardrobes for girls, boys and baby representing peace and diversity, 
linking back to the core message of the collection. 

As Stella McCartney cares about the future of our planet, 

more than 75% of the collection is made from sustainable materials

including organic cotton, sustainably sourced viscose 

as well as recycled polyester and nylon.

Jeans are, hands down, every childs favourite thing to wear – which is why they’ll love these three super fresh trends for spring.

Why restrict yourself to blue? Jeans now come in every shade of the rainbow. Pops of colour – from neon to pastel – are everywhere at the moment and how much fun are they? Also, super-skinny (like this pair) doesn’t mean super-uncomfortable. These jeans are specially designed with bendiness in mind and move with children, whether they’re climbing or curling up on the sofa. Don’t just save coloured skinnies for the girls; boys will love them too, and they’ll get massive props from their mates for being so cool.

Denim dungarees for little children have always been a thing, mainly because they look so darn sweet. But now older children (and grown-ups too) are getting in on the action and taking the look from cute to cool. It’s another throwback Nineties trend (remember Rachel rocking them in Friends?) but this time round, they’re more streamlined and preppy.
