DESIGNERS FAVORIETEN : MISS RUBY TUESDAY

Afgelopen zomer was de kinderlijn van Ruby Tuesday, genaamd Miss Ruby Tuesday wel de ontdekking van het seizoen! De kledingstukken waren in een mum van tijd overal uitverkocht. Wij zijn daarom ontzettend benieuwd wat dit nieuwe meisjesmerk dit winter seizoen voor onze dochters ( nou ja, die van jullie) in petto heeft.

Designers favorieten : Miss Ruby Tuesday

Wij vroegen Twan van Laar , oprichter en eigenaar van Ruby Tuesday ( 2011) en  Miss Ruby Tuesday ( 2015) naar zijn favorieten uit de nieuwe wintercollectie 2015-2016 van zijn meisjes collectie.

Welke kleuren gaan we in de Miss Ruby Tuesday collectie deze winter zien? 

Daar waar andere kinderkleding labels kiezen voor veel kleur, gebruikt Miss Ruby Tuesday een rustig kleurenpalet. Dit zijn de kleuren waar Miss Ruby Tuesday deze winter meekomt.

Welke materialen zijn vernieuwend?

Linnen is een materiaal waar ze bij Miss Ruby Tuesday heel erg van houden. Het geeft iets authentieks aan de kleding. De materialen krijgen een wassing, waardoor de items een vintage look krijgen. Dit is dé handtekening van Ruby Tuesday.

Welk item uit de nieuwe winter collectie, is hét key-item bij uitstek?

Zonder twijfel het grote vest wat voor veel meiden als jas gaat fungeren. Het was een gok om de favoriet uit de damescollectie te verkleinen, maar iedereen ( vooral de pers! ) is er gek op!

Wat is je favoriete dessin of print? 

De star print en het streepje in linnen zijn fijne kledingstukken om een outfit mee op te bouwen.

Trend uit de collectie die we volgens jou niet mogen missen!

Het is meer een geintje dan een trend, maar het handgebreide strikje in combinatie met het korte sweatblazertje is wel speciaal. Het jasje kan je op 2 verschillende manieren dragen.

Wat is jouw favoriete kledingstuk uit deze collectie?

Absoluut het tweed jasje. We werden verliefd op deze prachtige Italiaanse stof, en wilden er een ‘caban’ model van maken.

Wanneer kunnen we de nieuwe wintercollectie van Miss Ruby Tuesday verwachten in de shop?

Any time!! Eerste week juli wordt de collectie uitgeleverd naar de winkels en begin augustus hangt de collectie compleet in de shops.

GRAPHIC JUNGLE is an amazing nursery collection
by  a very cool new French brand for the little ones…
called ANATOLOGY…

WE’RE IN LOVE!!!

This ‘real coolness’ was launched just 8 months ago, by Delphine Miquel.
Before she moved on to the core of her experience in ready to wear,
she studied arts & design at the Beaux Arts.
So we understand where her ‘eye for beauty’ is coming from.

After that, she also studied fashion in Paris (Atelier Chardon Savard)
On top of that she worked for  7 years as a creative assistant of
a ‘pret-a-porter-deluxe-fashion-designer’.

When she became a mum, 16 months ago,
and couldn’t find any cool nursery  items she liked,
she decided to make it herself
and the coolest brand was born!

A BIG THANK YOU!

It is so incredibly contemporary with the beautiful fabrics
together with the stunning graphic prints.
We never saw this before.
A big big wannahave and nr.1 on the wishlist.

Besides ‘the coolest on the planet-sleep bags’,
(0-18 months)
there are the crib liners, the bibs
and the cushions to enjoy for a much longer time.
And because the designer’s son is now 16 months,
we assume (well… wish… haha) that she will design something new…
Great designs which are growing up with this cool little dude.

Mini Rodini - Differently simple

Their goal is actually not to be different, but to design modern children's clothes. However you can see from afar that there comes a Mini Rodini kid: this certain humor in design, this remaining high quality. What is the secret of the Mini Rodini success? What's their inspiration? Founder Cassandra Rhodin explains it very naturally. Of a Swedish brand that grows sustainably...

When did you start your label?
I started Mini Rodini in 2006 when I became a mother myself and I realized that there were little clothes on the market that I would want to buy for my own children. I couldn’t even find simple solid colored clothes for him in organic cotton. So I started my own label.

What was the inspiration for the current collection?
I was inspired by Love Boat and Captain Cousteau. The designs are sustainable, in high quality and very quirky design in the true spirit of Mini Rodini!

Is there something you would never dress children in?
I think almost anything could be okay depending on how you wear it.


What is the Mini Rodini secret of success?
We create clothes that parents want to dress their kids in and that kids love to wear.


What was your favorite piece of clothing as a child?
It was a blue sailor hat, similar to the one we have in our collection right now. I had it every day for about two,three years between 7 and 9, then I gave it to a friend.

Do you have children yourself?
Yes, I have two kids. Don-Louie, 7 years and Zed, 10 years.


How fashion-oriented are they?
They love clothes, but they are very political and wouldn’t wear things that are not produced in a sustainable way.


What's the biggest Mini Rodini dream?
World peace of course :)
