GUUM BARCELONA: BEAUTIFUL CRADLES FOR YOUR NEWBORN

My maternity leave started and we’re slowly counting down to the arrival of our second baby boy. 36 weeks pregnant and the urge to nest has officially started, since week 33 by the way. Buying new clothes, cleaning, getting the nursery ready. And with that, the cradle too…
We kept Flints old bed, but Flint slept in a hanging cradle for the first few weeks after he was born. We borrowed that cradle from a friend, but that’s gone back to her ofcourse – almost 5 years later – so I went looking for a new cradle. GUUM Barcelona approached me to use their cradle for the first couple of weeks. And so I did ;) because isn’t this cradle too cute?!

Tight design, perfect height for next to your own bed and it doesn’t take up too much space. And because of the wheels it’s easy to move it throughout the house. We will most likely move it to the living room regularly, as a replacement for the box the first few weeks.
I can’t wait to put my little man in it! For now some pictures of the MiniGUUM in our house right now. Get inspired!

De warme nazomer maakt nu echt plaats voor koudere temperaturen. Ook bij ons zijn de sjaals en mutsen weer tevoorschijn gehaald en wordt het langzaam tijd voor winterjassen-weer. ANTOINE PETERS AND KIDSCASE: A PERFECT MATCH

Yesterday Kidscase presented their collaboration with conceptual designer Antoine Peters.
Antoine is the father of the one-year-old Alf, and to celebrate his arrival to have co-created this collection. Antoine was a designer for Eastpak, Moooi by Marcel Wanders, United Nude, Quinze & Milan, Film Festival Rotterdam, Effio, Gsus Industries, EYE and Viktor & Rolf. And some of his work has been in museums. And now clothing!

The result is nice, super joyful and funny, obviously inspired by his own son, but also by kids in general. Their contagious smiles and curious way to look at life.







The collection makes us happy and we wish, just like Antoine himself, there were bigger sizes for adults. Because a sweater with that awesome smile or beanie with circles would look quite cool on some dads and moms.

The collection consists of 8 pieces for boys, and girls who don’t fancy pink and frills. Sizes run from 3 months up to 10 years.



We think it’s pretty rad when a dad designs a whole collection for his son and above are happy he wants to share it with all of us.

The collaboration between Antoine Peters and Kidscase is a good one. The fit really well, because Kidscase is know for it’s minimalistic and timeless styles. This collection is now available in stores, online and the Orange Mayonnaise webshop.

De scholen zijn weer begonnen en de kids gaan weer op de fiets naar school, zo ook mijn oudste. Al sinds hij klein is, hebben wij hem aangeleerd om een helm op te zetten. Hij gaat dus ook de deur niet uit zonder zijn helm, het hoort er gewoon bij. Nu dat zijn broer ook mee kan op de fiets, hebben we voor hem ook een helm. Zo’n leuke als in deze collage.

AW15 COLLECTION BOBO CHOSES: THE UNKNOWN MOUNTAIN JOURNEY

When we received the pictures and lookbook of the AW15 collection by Bobo Choses we got a smile on our faces. The colours breath autumn and winter and they remind us of the colder months ahead of us, walks through the woods with our wellies on and warm fireplaces.

Being in the middle of summer it always is a bit weird thinking about this, but these pictures also give us the feeling that autumn and winter are not that bad after all…

Besides the fine legging and harem pants for the little ones the collection also has really cool pants with original prints for the bigger kids. Lovely warm knitted sweaters, rad jeansblouses, suspenders for the boys and cute and funky skirts (short and long) for the girls. Cosy socks and tights make the outfits complete and make us forget about flip-flops and sandals for now.

Part of the collection are also handy tote bags that could also be really cool diaper bags if you ask us! It’s really clever how Bobo Choses managed to create such an original collection again and still be so clearly theirs, you recognise it from a distance.

GOOD RIDDANCE WITH THE PAPER BAGS OF TELLKIDDO

Aaarghh, all those toys by the end of the day. Seriously, everywhere, in every corner lays something, not only in the living room, no, also the hallway, the bathroom, the bedroom etc etc.
So, what do ‘we’ do? We buy big plastic boxes to store everything away. But hey, those boxes… They actually don’t match the rest of our interior. TellKiddo thought likewise and came up with a solution.

For sure these bags look way cooler in the rooms and besides its also really easy to just throw everything in as well, so no more excuses by the kids not to help out.

TellKiddo also has fabric bags for in example laundry and cute little prints to decorate the nursery. The birthposter we really fancy as an original maternity gift.

NEW GRAY LABEL A/W ’15 COLLECTION

Gray Label is an Amsterdam based clothing brand founded by Emily Gray. The last couple of years they have become a well-known name in the children’s clothing industry, aged 0-8 years. Their values are minimalistic, organic and the use of soft colours.

These days we see a lot of bright colours and busy prints for the children’s collections and therefore we find Gray Label a relief in the entire dynamic other brands.

The fabrics are so so soft, made of organic cotton and must be so comfortable to wear; maybe it’s time for an adult collection? Anyway, for children it’s a no-brainer that their clothing must be easy to wear, they shouldn’t ‘ suffer’ wearing it, agree?

This new A/W’15 collection looks so promising. Let the pictures speak for itself!

COOL URBAN ITEMS IN THE SS15 COLLECTION OF NUNUNU

The Israeli brand NUNUNU and UrbanMoms go back a long way. Flint wore his first NUNUNU item when he was 1.5/2 years old: a tough ‘pirates’ sweatshirt, as he called it. And still this recognizable print can be found on the awesome items.
Flint still wears NUNUNU, mainly the pants and shoes (in collaboration with the French brand Collegien). I think it’s such a cool brand for him; cool urban design, good quality and basic colors. And NUNUNU send us a gift package with star pajamas, a black ‘pirates’ shirt, a black vest and a cool denim baggy pants. What a treat! And it smells so good when you take it out of the packaging.
