There is something about the Spirit of Summer that says “Wake up and Live.”
It’s for sure easier to feel Free & Happy when the sun is shinning!
In this set of images I wanted to capture my mermaid’s free spirit so I decided to take her where Mia shines the most … by the ocean! I can still hear the waves!









We hope you are having a great Summer and enjoying your holidays with your little ones. I am hoping for more beach days and fun with my mermaids.

INDOOR PLAYDATE WITH EMILY KORNYA

Aside from the clothes, one of the most important aspects of our playdates with Emily Kornya, is picking a suitable location. 

Streets are dominated by traffic and it is no longer the norm to see children out playing with their friends, so finding a location where children can play safely and naturally whilst allowing us to shoot…. it’s not as easy as it sounds.

Another challange of an outdoor playdate location is that there’s always a chance that the weather will spoil the party, but sometimes you just have to take a chance and hope it stays dry! A backup in case the weather turned bad is something we didn’t think of two weeks ago, but luckily Kylliki, Laurelle’s mum, offered we could all come to her place to shoot. Merci!!!

SALT WATER SANDALS

Krijg jij bij de naam sandalen al kriebels, en wil  je helemaal niets weten van de trend om sandalen mét sokken te dragen…. Lees dan vooral niet verder!

Niet bestemd voor afritsbroek types!
We riepen vorig jaar al dat sandalen met sokken leuk zijn.  Uiteraard wel alleen als je de juiste sandalen draagt en het combineert met leuk geprinte sokken. Dus niet met een afritsbroek, maar dat hoef ik toch niemand meer uit te leggen.

De Salt water sandals zijn helemaal geen nieuw item, wij schreven over dit merk al in 2012 . Het zijn gewoon fantastische sandalen die nat mogen worden, zelfs kletsnat. Trendy sandalen voor jongens en meiden waar ze de zee mee kunnen inlopen maar welke net zo makkelijk tijdens een bruiloft onder hun mooiste jurkje gedragen kunnen worden.

Voor meisjes ben ik een enorme fan van sandaaltjes met of zonder sokken. Ik vind het überhaupt gewoon te gek. Voor jongens ben ik persoonlijk meer gecharmeerd van een paar vette leren teenslippers, dat is gewoon écht veel stoerder dan een paar sandaaltjes. Voor Guus, die vaak sneller rent dan hij aankan, is het absoluut fijner als zijn sandalen met hem meerennen in plaats van een paar teenslippertjes te dragen die ergens 10 meter achter hem blijven liggen bij een sprintje.
