ISABEL | A SUNDAY IN BRUSSELS

Last Sunday we went for a walk in Brussels and had lunch with just the four of us. Things were pretty busy the last couple of weeks so we needed some family time. We walked around our favourite neighbourhood and ate at our fave place, Chicago Café where the kids can play while we, parents, got some time to talk about what has been going on lately. The kids wore their Bobo Choses clohtes we found at ORANGE MAYONNAISE, but Jeanne had a little accident when we arrived at the café. Thank you, sweet stranger, who offered us a diaper so the girl wouldn’t have to walk around in her naked bum for the rest of the day. Because yes, this mama did not bring a spare outfit, whoops.

Zondag was het tijd om wat tijd door te brengen met ons vier. De laatste weken was het zo druk en we hadden nood aan wat ‘quality time’. We gingen naar Brussels waar we wat wandelden in onze favoriete buurt en gingen lunchen in het Chicago Café. Perfecte plek om te eten met kinderen. Een grote speelhoek en verkleedkoffer houden de kindjes bezig, terwijl de ‘grote mensen’ rustig (nu ja, rustig is een groot woord, aangezien er uiteraard nog een heleboel andere kinderen waren) kunnen praten. 
De mini’s droegen hun nieuwe Bobo Choses outfit van bij ORANGE MAYONNAISE, al had Jeanne al snel een accidentje (beetje te enthousiast toen ze al het speelgoed zag). Danku lieve mensen die ons een pamper aanboden waardoor Jeanne toch niet de rest van de dag in haar blote billen moest rondlopen, want uiteraard had ik -wederom- geen reserve outfit meegebracht, whoops.

about Antoine Peters
 
Dutch designer Antoine Peters collaborated with iconic brands such as Eastpak, Marcel Wanders' Moooi, United Nude, Quinze & Milan, Film Festival Rotterdam, Effio, Gsus Industries and EYE and he worked for Viktor & Rolf. His work is presented at renowned institutes like the Arnhem Fashion Biennial, MOTI Museum, Arcam Architecture Institute and Museum Boijmans van Beuningen. 
 
Antoine Peters graduated with honours at the Art Academy in Arnhem, The Netherlands. He now lives and works in Amsterdam. Antoine teaches at several art academies in The Netherlands, gives workshops and presentations at various institutes, and initiates and participates in projects such as concept direction and design for dance performances, movies, music video's and events. He is a fanatic soccer player too.

BEAU LOVES AW16 - THE GALAXY

Dit Britse Label komt winter 2016 met prints van planeten, maskers, de volle maan en geesten gemixed in de kleuren zwart, wit en grijs. De inspiratie van de collectie ontstond toen Beau vragen begon te stellen over het heelal en het zonnestelsel.


Zoals we weten is de naam van dit Londense Label vernoemd naar de zoon van de ontwerpers, Beau. Maar net als het merk zelf, groeit Beau natuurlijk ook mee en dus gebeurde het dat de tekeningen van Beau verwerkt zijn in de AW16 collectie.


“I saw Galaxies in your eyes” is de officiële titel van een collectie welke wo 31 aug 2016 is gelanceerd. Wederom een edgy look, een losse fit, vesten, sjaals en mutsen om in te kruipen. Opvallende overall prints. We love it!

Mini Rodini’s tweede – en laaste- drop van de coole herst/winter 2016/2017 collectie lanceert “as we speak”.

En cool wordt het deze winter zeker. Eh, koel! Mini Rodini AW16 is namelijk geïnspireerd op Alaska. “Young and Free in Alaska” is de officiële titel en toont een collectie met aardse tinten en natuurlijk weer een dosis statement-prints, zoals de “Deer print”, de “Snow Bunny” een gekke “Frog” en de “Bear Face”. En wat dacht je van een Leopard Ski Jacket? En oh, de totempalen en zwanenprint zijn ook al zo leuk.

Altijd goed om nog eens te vermelden dat Mini Rodini werkt met GOTS gecertificeerde biologische katoen en gerecycled materiaal.

Vandaag gaan we dus weer heerlijk shoppen. Wat kunnen we verwachten in deze drop? In elk geval de salopettes – musthave item aldus Blender – in zwart en “hot pink”. De winterjassen in vele gedaantes, van leopard tot totempalen. Of een groene effen bomberjack. Super coole (Sebaria) mutsen in blauw leopard, met oren. Een hele toffe “dassen” overall print, subtiel in zwart-creme. Velours, een echte frog en een hartenprint waar wij van smelten. En de P a n d aaaaa! Mooi op de light gewicht grijze wollen longsleeve en op de legging. Enjoy it!
