LE LOOK DU JOUR – EDEN & ZOE’S TUTU

Le look du jour.. I received an Eden & Zoe tutu skirt for a review! I’ve written about their lovely cashmere designs before… 

 so I called Zoe over who was jumping up and down with excitement when she saw the skirt!

 Note: I would happily wear it myself! But I say from experience it was way too small. 

This is a skirt that will definitely become’s your little girl’s favorite! Pink and white multiple layers to give it volume and a soft lining and elastic waist to keep her comfortable. She wanted to wear it all day…

COLLEGIEN + NUNUNU in LLOYD HOTEL

 EEN SHOP THE LOOK IN HET LLOYD HOTEL AMSTERDAM We ontvingen ze op Kerst avond...wat een speciale timing. Toeval, maar oh zo leuk! Ze waren er eindelijk. Ein-de-lijk! Want wat hebben we -en jullie- er lang op moeten wachten. Was het het waard? een volmondig....

JA! Want ze zijn echt leuk, stoer, comfortabel, urban en superhandig; de sloffen van Collegien in samenwerking met het Urban Fashion Label NUNUNU. Ze zijn er in drie dessins; met sterren, een piratendoodkop en letters. Geheel in de stijl zoals we NUNUNU kennen. Wij kozen voor het laatste dessin.

We ontvingen ze vlak voordat we naar Amsterdam gingen. 4 dagen Lloydhotel in de Hoofdstad. Big Like! De sloffen gingen mee en extra leuk om op de kamer -en in de gangen- deze Shop The Look te maken. Enjoy it!

Like Son, Like Mother...Inmiddels ben ik ook in het bezit van een paar super comfortabele sloffen. Wist je dat de NUNUNU dessins ook in volwassen maten (t/m maat 46) verkrijgbaar zijn?

 

Dezelfde dag als de sloffen, ontving ik nog een pakketje! geheel afzonderlijk van elkaar, maar wat matchen ze goed! het allernieuwste kussen -en tevens knuffel- REX van Lion of Leisure. En wat is hij cool! Superstoer, handmade, heerlijk zacht en lekker groot! Love it!

The Cherry on the Cake…..

LA CERISE SUR LE GATEAU

La Cerise sur le Gâteau is the French design label from Anne Hubert, she designs some really beautiful items for children (and grown-ups!).

Anne left her native Normandy to study art and design in Paris.  She then became a designer for newspapers, magazines and interior design companies.  She likes to put her own stamp on everything she gets her hands on and even produced a book, published by Marabout called “Customiser tout ce qu’il y a dans mon placard” (Customize the contents of my cupboard).

Everyone loved her ideas so much that she decided to start her own design company….and so La Cerise sur le Gâteau was born.  Her collections look back to classic French household linens but she adds a modern twist… Dayglo colours, liberty prints, animal prints and showers of polka dots bring her items to life and have become her signature.

Anne a quitté sa Normandie natale pour Paris et y faire ses études en arts appliqués, puis devient styliste pour la presse ou des marques de déco. Elle customise tout ce qui lui tombe sous la main et publiera même un livre aux éditions Marabout « Customiser tout ce qu’il y a dans mon placard ». Toutes ses idées plaisent, Anne décide de créer sa propre marque … Alors commence l’aventure de La Cerise sur le gâteau.

Ses collections revisitent et détournent les références françaises intemporelles du linge de maison. Les torchons de grand-mère, la toile de Jouy ou le liberty s’impriment d’une touche d’humour et de décalage. Le fluo, les gambettes et la pluie de pois font pétiller nos basiques et deviennent sa signature. Son univers n’étant jamais loin du monde des enfants, elle décide de créer en parallèle une collection de linge de maison pour les petits.
