Play in Black and White

Hoewel kleur vaak de kinderkamer domineert, vinden wij het zwart en wit thema ook erg leuk. Natuurlijk aangevuld met hier en daar een kleuraccent. Vandaag het thema PLAY IN BLACK AND WHITE
...met een STOELTJE in retro look van Les Gambettes, hier in wit..maar in vele kleuren verkrijgbaar. Wist je dat je er ook een bijpassend  bureautje bij kunt shoppen en dat hoeft zeker niet in dezelfde kleur te zijn. Juist een contrasterende kleur is spannend. Gek ook zijn we op de VLOERKLEDEN van Pappelina, gemaakt van papier en..wasbaar! Ook hier een keur aan kleuren en dessins, maar deze wit met zwarte streepjes vonden wij erg mooi op een kinderkamer. De POSTERS van Mini & Maximus vinden wij allemaal te gek. En met de Archetoys van Floris Hovers haal je echt Dutch Design in huis.....

Moments | Life on Two Wheels

M wears: Hoodie by American Outfitters / Pants by Shampoodle / Tee by Mini Rodini / Shoes by 10IS. D wears: Longsleeve by Minti / Pants by Minti / Shoes by Natives / Backpack by Munster kids.


It had been discussed for awhile, the kids needed new bikes. D had been pushing around on his balance bike for a couple of years, and M's secondhand bmx was getting way too small. Luckily M  had been doing some modelling work and earned up money that she wanted to spend on a new bike, and little brother had patiently been waiting for a big boy bike, so we thought let's just do it all at once. It took a couple of visits to different bike stores before we finally found two bikes that were perfect for the kids age and size.

M picked a 20" Holly bike, which is a mix between a classic girls bike and a beach cruiser bike. We loved the fact that it had a sturdy frame and wheels but still had a girls touch to it with its pale blue tone and flowers. D went straight for a 16" bmx bike with training wheels (really no need for those, since he has already got the balance but the novelty of training wheels made us keep them on for a while).

So when Sunday came around it was a day out side and on two wheels for the whole family (even Dad J tagged along on the scooter). We were lucky with the weather which offered sun after a morning of rain, so after a few hours of biking we all could enjoy a rest at a beach cafe, with lunch and ice-cream for a work well done.

Raven spotted

SS14 MOI

De Moi Collectie is inmiddels een begrip en bestond de vorige collectie nog uit kleine decoraties van de Raaf, inmiddels zijn de prints groter of meer frequent aanwezig. Dan weer afgewisseld met een subtiele overall print. Dit geeft weer een frisse impuls aan de collectie, die bestaat uit shirts, heerlijke baggybroeken, jurkjes en nieuw: rompertjes. So cute!
De SS14 collectie bestaat wederom uit voornamelijk de basickleuren zwart, grijs en wit met een klein accent geel. Knal geel!

En de collectie met veel uni-sex items loopt van 0 t/m 8 jaar. De raaf blijft een constante factor in de Moi collectie en we kunnen inmiddels wel stellen dat hij is uitgegroeid tot het handelsmerk van de IJslands architecte woonachtig in Denemarken. Hij bezocht haar regelmatig bij haar werkkamer.

Maar de familie is uitgebreid! Want naast de Raaf is er nu ook een grafische print in de collectie. Mooi.

Moi laat zich goed combineren en ik denk dat daar ook de charme zit. Leuk om een Moi item met heerlijke print te combineren met een basic item of juist met een felle tegenhanger. En mocht je even geen zin hebben in een print, ook daar aan is gedacht middels een aantal basic items. Heb je de grijze Baggypants al gespot? Let summer start!

MINIIIIIiiiiii Rrrrrrrrroooaaaaw….

Mini Rodini 2014

We schreven een tijdje geleden al over de nieuwe zomer collectie van Mini Rodini (sneak peek Mini Rodini) . De altijd verrassende, niet voor de hand liggende collectie wordt altijd op de voet gevolgd door een hele grote groep Mini Rodini fans.

De styling van Mini Rodini is altijd over the top, de items uniek en bijzonder! En onze kids pakken de items altijd zelf uit de kast omdat ze echt de prints gebruiken waar kinderen DOL op zijn. De pandabeer sweater is altijd geliefd, en ik vind het thema met de giraffe print en olifanten super leuk. Toch zullen mijn boys kiezen voor de good oldpanther tee en dat snap ik maar al te goed!

Vandaag gaat over de hele wereld de nieuwe zomer collectie van Mini Rodini online. En aangezien de meningen over dit Zweedse label altijd erg verdeeld zijn, ben ik erg benieuwd naar jullie gevoel bij deze collectie. Welk item vind jij top? Of welke item kan je écht niet waarderen?
