[EVENT REPORT] DUTCH MOM BLOG AWARDS 2014 PRESENTED

Last week on Saturday, September 13th 2014, the very first Dutch Mom Blog Awards were presented at the 100% Mama Event in Rotterdam. These are the awards for best interior, fashion and parenting blogs, focusing on the mom segment. UrbanMoms.nl initiated and organized this event. In three categories, there was a professional prize and audience prize awarded and there was an additional award for best blog talent.

The winners of the professional award were chosen by a four-member jury: jury president Kirsten Jassies of Sanoma’s bloggers network Blogtoday & The Blog Editors, Katja de Jong from Imps & Elfs and friends, Annika Jansen from online boutique Orange Mayonnaise en Vanessa de Kock-Erasmus from the 100% Mama Event.

Winner category Interior & Lifestyle

In the category Interior & Lifestyle, these were the nominees: April and May mini, &SUUS and Zilverblauw.

Zilverblauw went home with two awards, a beautiful bouquet from Flowermoment, a goodiebag worth €225,00 and a Sodastream device worth €89,99.

In the talent category, these were the nominees: Fantastic Moms, Kidsroomzuid, Love2bMama, My Daily Garbage, Suus Loves, The Daily Lady.

Kirsty Nagel is styliste – ontwerpster en shopowner van Urban Nomads by Kirsty Nagel. Maar – bovenal is ze moeder van een dochtertje Sammie Ziggy en is er eentje onderweg.

Blue Denim Baby

Look of the week - blue denim baby

Dit is Kelly van der Borden, getrouwd met Odin en sinds juli 2012 moeder van ondeugende redhead Lennon en werkt bij de Urban Bakery in Rotterdam.

Kelly houdt zich vooral bezig met de leuke (en lekkere) dingen van het leven, zoals taartjes eten met een goede bak koffie erbij. Is gek van tattoo’s, denim en mannen met baarden  uiteraard is haar grootste bezigheid Lennon’s kledingkast goed gevuld houden! Inspiratie haalt ze voornamelijk uit blogs, Instagram en Pinterest.

Het Mama-Event

Het eerste Mama Event, for all faboulous moms, vindt plaats op 19 en 20 Oktober 2013 in de Van Nelle Ontwerpfabriek in Rotterdam. Het lifestyle event voor de (aanstaande) moeder die het beste uit haar leven wil halen.

Het event is volgens een heel leuk concept opgezet, vinden wij...

De moderne mama heeft brede interesses, maar is ook beperkt in tijd. Nu is het voor alle faboulous moms mogelijk om in twee dagen van 10.00u tot 19.00u te shoppen bij de leukste shops, inspiratie op te doen voor een bijzondere vakantie, innovatieve gadgets te scoren, de beste cocktail ooit te drinken(!) en tips & tricks te krijgen over zaken als beauty, food, opvoeding en verzorging. Kortom, alle facetten uit het leven van de moderne mama komen aan bod.

Wat wij ook zo leuk vinden aan het event is de plek: de Van Nelle Ontwerpfabriek. En hoewel de Ahoy voor de hand zou liggen is er juist gekozen voor deze inspirerende plek, waar de deelnemers de creatieve ruimte krijgen  hun product(en) of merk mooi te presenteren. Maar natuurlijk draait het vooral ook om voelen, proeven, proberen en met name shoppen!! En we hebben al een sneak peak van de deelnemerslijst gezien en we kunnen alvast melden dat er vele mooie en coole shops zullen staan.

En de kids? Een event gericht op moeders, kan niet zonder kids. Die zijn meer dan welkom! En kinderen tot drie jaar kunnen het event zelfs gratis bezoeken. Ook voor de kids staat het Mama Event in het teken van beleving. Ze kunnen zingen, dansen, knutselen & meedoen.

And good to now.... Orange Mayonnaise will join this event !
